About

Welcome to Build Your Own Baloney Detector. This blog is aimed at helping hone our intellectual tool-kit that helps us tell when some idea isn’t what it claims to be. (Carl Sagan called this tool-kit a “baloney detector”, hence the name of the blog.) I’m gearing this less towards examples of debunking things and more towards to the tools used to figure out how seriously we should take an idea. Eventually, I’ll try to link to other Skeptics’ sites with more debunking.
